About Puppy Pals: Dog Park Check-In

Some dogs bring out a whole different dog. Your dog has a few. Not every dog at the park — a specific handful. The ones who turn a cautious, sniff-the-perimeter dog into a blur doing laps. You know exactly which dogs those are. What you don't know is when they'll be there. Puppy Pals tells you. SEE WHO'S AT THE PARK — RIGHT NOW Live check-in counts at every park near you, updated as dogs arrive and leave. Know whether it's worth the drive before you load up the car. HOW IT WORKS 1. Check in when you arrive. One tap, geo-fenced to the park you're actually standing in. Leave, and your check-in ends on its own. 2. See who's here. Every dog checked in right now — your pals and dogs you've never met. Tap any dog to send a friend request on the spot. 3. Get a ping when their friends show up. Turn on alerts for a specific dog and you'll know the next time they're at a park. BUILT AROUND THE DOG - Profiles for up to 3 dogs, with breed, age, size, energy level and a photo gallery - 20 play-style tags — Zoomie King, Fetch Obsessed, Gentle Giant, Shy at First and more - Add a pal with a PuppyTag like Lilu#4821. No emails, no phone numbers, no name search - 9,300+ dog parks built in, sourced from OpenStreetMap - Walk mode for when you're not at a park — your pals see you, strangers don't - "Heading your way" — one tap tells a pal you're on the way. No reply needed A PASSPORT FOR YOUR DOG Every park you visit earns a stamp. Milestones earn badges: first visit, first pal, five parks, a year on the app and more. Your pals can see the badges your dog has earned. Nothing to grind, nothing to buy. It fills up on its own as you go. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your location is shared only while you're checked in, only with confirmed friends, and it's deleted the moment you check out. There is no background location tracking and no continuous location history. Dogs at the same park see your dog's profile — never your coordinates — and only while you're both actually there. Turn off GPS and you're checked out automatically. NOTHING TO SCROLL No feed. No likes. No followers. No ads. No chat. Puppy Pals gets you to the park at the right time and then gets out of your way. Free to download. Free to use.

What’s new

Version 1.6.0 · Updated October 28, 2026

New: a fresh coat of paint. One orange for every main button, a park details sheet with the park's stamp and who's there, and a map in Puppy Pals colors. Before you check in, you now see who will see you. Fixed: the park list no longer says "50+ parks" when you switch to another app while it opens. Fixed: your passport shows your newest stamp first, and pages opened from Profile keep the Profile tab lit.
