Floratory

Floratory is a plant suitability and environmental assessment application designed to help users determine whether a plant is suitable for a particular location based on environmental conditions such as temperature, rainfall, sunlight, altitude, and soil characteristics. The app is intended for home growers, small-scale farmers, gardening enthusiasts, and users who are beginning to grow plants and may not have sufficient knowledge about the environmental requirements of different plants. The app helps users identify potentially unsuitable growing conditions before planting and provides an understandable assessment of the environmental factors affecting plant suitability. How to Use the App 1. Navigate to the "Your Locations" dashboard and tap to create a new location by dropping a pin on the map or searching for an address. 2. The app automatically fetches the environmental parameters (temperature, rainfall, soil properties, and sunlight) for that specific coordinate. 3. The app's internal engine evaluates a comprehensive plant database and generates a recommendation list categorized by suitability (Optimal, Tolerable, Marginal, Unsuitable). 4. Users can tap on any plant to see a detailed breakdown of why it matches (or fails to match) the local environment.
