What’s new

Version 1.6.1 · Updated October 10, 2026

The biggest Fly To Fun update yet. FLY PLANS THE WHOLE TRIP Fly now builds a route from the airport you're at. Use Find to search by distance, runway length and surface, or tap Pick For Me. Distances are measured from your last stop. You can also tap airports, scenic spots and events right on the map. Reorder stops, add the trip home, and send the route to ForeFlight or as a GPX. Your routes are saved in My Lists. RELIVE ANY FLIGHT IN 3D Watch a recorded flight on Apple's 3D map, with your path drawn at your real altitude and the camera following behind you. Play, pause, change the speed, or spin the view any way you like. FOLLOW MY FLIGHT Send family a link and they can watch you fly on a live map, in any web browser. Turn on auto-share and every takeoff emails them the link. It shows when you've landed, then ends on its own. A REAL PILOT LOGBOOK Every flight gets a logbook entry with PIC, night, cross-country, instrument time and landings, and the times are filled in for you. Export it as a CSV, a ForeFlight import or a paper-style PDF, with totals laid out for FAA Form 8710. NEVER FLY OUT OF CURRENCY Add your medical and flight review dates and get reminders before they expire, plus a heads-up before your passenger or night currency lapses. ALSO NEW • A new Events tab: nearby events first, with search, filters and Top Events • Hours & maintenance tracking for aircraft owners • Log a flight's purpose right from the Trip complete notification • Your Year in Flight: a shareable card of your 2026 flying FIXES • Recorded flights no longer cut out on final or during touch-and-goes • Pattern work with touch-and-goes and taxi-backs now counts as one flight • Altitude is recorded even when GPS doesn't report it • Opening the app with no signal no longer asks you to accept the terms again
