Thousand Card Game

Thousand is the classic card game for three players — the one families across Eastern Europe have been playing at kitchen tables for generations, each with their own house rules. This is the full game, with those house rules left in your hands. Twenty-four cards, a hundred and twenty points in the pack. Contracts start at 100 and go up in fives. Declare the highest and the three-card talon is yours, along with the promise to bring home every point you named. Hold the King and Queen of a suit, lead one of them, and that suit becomes trumps — 40 for spades, up to 100 for hearts. First to a thousand wins, if you can get past the barrel. FEATURES • The complete classic rules, for three players • Four levels of computer opponent — Easy, Normal and Hard, plus a Master tier played by a neural network trained on millions of deals • Online multiplayer: create a private room, share the code, and the computer fills any empty seat so the game always starts • Fifty-nine agreements. The barrel, the bolts, the golden round, the dark game, what a distribution costs — every house rule is a switch you can set • Four complete rule sets to start from, if you would rather not set fifty-nine switches • Saves after every card. Close it mid-deal and Resume puts you back on exactly the card you were looking at • The Atlas deck everyone remembers, sharp at any size, with Cyrillic or Latin indices • Full round-by-round score sheet, with every hand accounted for • English and Russian throughout, rules included • Phones, tablets and Chromebooks, upright or on their side FREE, WITH AN OPTIONAL UNLOCK The game is free to play against the computer, with four complete rule sets, the full score sheet and every table felt everyone starts on. One optional payment unlocks the rest: all fifty-nine agreements individually, private online rooms under your own rules, the Master opponent without limit, and the remaining felts. One payment, no subscription, and it stays bought. No adverts. No tracking. No account needed to play. Some players learned Thousand from their grandparents and will tell you the rules are wrong. They are probably right — everyone's family plays it slightly differently, which is why the agreements are there. Set the table the way you remember it. Questions or feedback? [email protected]
