About Clubfoot Forward
Clubfoot Forward is a treatment record and a knowledge base for anyone living with clubfoot, also called talipes equinovarus or club foot. Teens and adults managing it decades after treatment, parents in the middle of Ponseti casting and bracing, and families still waiting on a first appointment. FOR TEENS AND ADULTS Check in on pain in under a minute: how bad, where, and when it started. Your history reads back as symptoms, function and activity over time, so a long day on your feet and a bad next morning sit side by side. Keep past surgeries with their documents, progress photos, and a log of footwear and orthotics that worked. Browse a movement library you can filter by ankle demand, impact, equipment and body region, and track the sessions you actually did. Some movements have a short video. Most are written out step by step. TRACK THE CASTING Record each cast with its Pirani and Dimeglio scores, note when one comes off early and why, and log the tenotomy. The scores chart across the series, so it reads as one picture instead of a pile of dates. THE BRACE, HONESTLY Start and stop a timer with one tap, or log a session afterwards. Set the hours your clinician asked for. Optional reminders at night and in the morning. Missed nights are shown plainly and never scored, and saving your brace setup lets the app compare how things went before and after a change. BRING SOMETHING TO THE APPOINTMENT Build your question list before the visit, keep it open in the room, and record what was said before you get home. Provider Summary turns your records into a readable PDF: casting, brace hours, observations, appointments and questions. It labels what you recorded separately from anything the app worked out, so nothing reads as a finding. ANSWERS WITH THEIR SOURCES Questions across casting, bracing, tenotomy, recurrence, gait, footwear and adult life. Answers show the study, protocol or guidance behind them, printed on the page so you can check it. FINDING CARE Links to the Ponseti provider directories that exist, and a set of community resources. EXPECTING A separate path for families who have had a prenatal diagnosis and have not started treatment. SCREENS IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH Switch from the header, independent of your device setting. The knowledge base is in English. YOUR RECORDS STAY ON THIS DEVICE Records, photos, notes and appointments are stored on your device and are never uploaded. Export a backup whenever you want and restore it on a new phone. The app is funded by advertising, which involves a device identifier, and there is an optional subscription that supports it and removes the ads. EDUCATIONAL ONLY Clubfoot Forward is not medical advice and does not replace your care team. Care decisions belong with a licensed clinician.
What’s new
Version 0.2.2 · Updated September 18, 2026
The parent home screen now opens with your child's avatar and a two-week chart of brace hours. The brace list on the Journey tab is shorter, shows the newest entries first, and asks before it deletes anything. Treatment steps that are finished, like casting and the tenotomy, now show as done rather than looking untouched. The adult home screen has been rebuilt around a pain trend chart, and you can now record blisters, calluses, skin breakdown and carrying a heavy load. The summary you take to an appointment uses your real casting dates, lists every symptom you have recorded, and names the brace in use. Backups now save as a .json file, so you can email one to yourself and keep a copy off your phone. Check-ins show every score you entered. Bracing totals count your whole history, including custom schedules with their own daily target.
