About Memki: Japanese Flashcards

Words and kanji. Nothing else. Memki is a spaced-repetition app built for one job: learning Japanese vocabulary and kanji. No games, no leaderboards, no side quests. Just the cards you need today, and a scheduler that knows when you need to see them again. START WHERE YOU LIKE No fixed path. Already comfortable with N5 and want N3? Open N3. Every level is visible from day one and each one has a free sample — you never have to grind back through hundreds of cards you already know. WHAT'S INSIDE • 7,995 words and 2,211 kanji, organised along the JLPT path from N5 to N1 • Every kanji with its meaning plus on'yomi and kun'yomi readings • A proven spaced-repetition scheduler — cards come back right before you would forget them • Fully offline. No account, no sign-up, no server BUILT TO BE HONEST Your study data stays on your device. We cannot see your cards, your progress or your streak. There are no ads. Anonymous usage data and crash reports help us fix what breaks; you can switch them off in Settings. We send at most one reminder a day, at a time you choose, and only when cards are actually waiting. Nothing more. THREE WAYS TO SEE A CARD Stack, Focus or Dictionary — pick the layout that suits you, change it any time. FREE AND PRO Kana and the whole of N5 stay free, and every level has a taster open. The free plan opens 20 new cards a day. Memki Pro costs once — after that it is yours. No subscription, no monthly charge, and no level that costs extra later on. Pro removes the daily limit, unlocks N4 to N1, and adds custom study sessions and review intervals tuned to you. WHAT MEMKI DOESN'T DO No example sentences, no writing practice, no sync between devices. It is written here so you know before you buy, not after. DICTIONARY DATA Vocabulary and kanji data come from the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group's JMdict and KANJIDIC projects, used under CC BY-SA 4.0.
