■ What is BioHop? A social app where the whole world can be your neighborhood. Profiles, cards and comments are written in each person's own language and shown in yours, translated automatically the moment you open them. There's no translate button to tap. Build a profile out of the things you love, then hop from person to person along the tags you share. Your next neighbor might live on the other side of the world. "I opened one Wikipedia article and lost three hours to the links." That feeling, but with people instead of articles. ■ Who it's for • You'd like to get to know people in other countries, without language getting in the way • You're tired of chasing a timeline • You'd rather find people yourself than be handed what an algorithm picked • You want something to browse before bed or on the train • You want to talk about what you love without anyone counting followers or likes ■ Features ▸ Automatic translation Profile text, cards and comments arrive already translated into your device's language. Not word-for-word machine translation: the tone and the offhandedness of the original come through. Translated text carries a small mark, so you can always tell an original from a translation. And what you write in your own language reaches other people in theirs. ▸ Profiles A display name, a line about yourself, an avatar, and cards on any theme you like. "A song I keep coming back to." "What I'm into right now." Add as many cards as you want. Music and film cards come with artwork and details. ▸ Tags = chains The tags on your profile (up to three) link you to everyone who shares them, in what we call a chain. Join the #film chain and you're standing in a line of people who love film. Use previous and next at the bottom to walk along it, and tap any tag to switch to another chain. There are no dead ends. Just keep hopping. ▸ Comments Leave a comment on any profile you land on. It doesn't matter if you don't share a language: your comment reaches them in theirs, and their reply reaches you in yours. Tap a commenter's icon to jump to their profile. One meeting leads to the next. ▸ Footprints and likes A quiet trace that someone passed through: close enough to notice, far enough to stay comfortable. Like an individual card to say "same here". ▸ Send flowers When a like isn't quite enough, send someone a flower. It arrives wrapped, for them to open. ▸ Direct messages (Premium) When you want to talk properly, move into a one-to-one conversation. With a setting to turn incoming messages off, plus blocking and reporting. ■ BioHop Premium (monthly subscription) • Send direct messages • Create premium-only cards (long-form, animal tracks, bookshelves, dividers) Price: ¥300/month (auto-renewing) Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account, and the subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
