About Lesson Diary

Lesson Diary is a diary for UK driving instructors. The diary is the centre of the app. Bookings, pupil records, routes, reviews and payments all work around it. YOUR DIARY See your day, week or month. Book, move or cancel a lesson in a few taps. The app warns you when two lessons clash. Colour your lessons by type, download them, and send lesson reminders to your pupils. FILL THE GAPS Free slots show in your diary. Offer a gap to your pupils by email or text. You choose who gets the offer, and pupils book the slot from it. BOOKINGS THAT LAND IN YOUR DIARY Share your booking link or QR code. Pupils send a lesson request, and you review it on your phone. Set your lesson types, prices and the areas you cover, so you only get requests you can accept. PUPIL RECORDS Every pupil has one record: lessons, progress checks, notes, tests and a statement of what they owe. Update it after each lesson. Open it before the next one. LESSON ROUTES Start a drive and the app records the route. It saves with the lesson, with notes you add on the way. You decide whether pupils see it. Switch it on in settings when you want it. YOUR NUMBERS See your lessons each week, what you were paid each week, new pupils, and how your pupils are progressing. Your dashboard also shows booking requests, pupils who owe you money and driving tests this week. REVIEWS Ask your past pupils for a review in one go. Share your review link, or make a flyer from your reviews. WHO HAS PAID See who has paid and who owes you. Mark a lesson as paid in a tap. STANDARDS CHECK Stay on top of REPORTS Get reports about your business in one setup, learner, lessons, balances, expense, income, standards check - everything in one place. ONE ACCOUNT, EVERY DEVICE Your phone stays in sync with your Lesson Diary account on the web. BUILT FOR ONE INSTRUCTOR No fleet tools. Lesson Diary is for the instructor who runs their own diary, pupils and business. New here? Create a free account at lessondiary.co.uk, then sign in on your phone.

What’s new

Version 4.4.0 · Updated October 30, 2026

New: draw road diagrams on a lesson. Start from a junction or roundabout, add the learner car, other road users and official UK road signs, then draw the route. Keep notes on each pupil in the new Notes section, next to their driving experience. Notes from an enquiry come across when you take the pupil on. Enquiries now show the pick-up address and the times the pupil is free. When your booking page is off, pupils see that you are not taking new enquiries. Bug fixes and improvements.
