CheckNectar: Food Scanner

Nectar tells you what's actually in the food you buy. Scan a barcode and get one clear score out of 100, plus a plain-English breakdown of every ingredient — which ones are fine, which ones are worth knowing about, and why. No jargon, no guessing in the aisle. SCAN ANYTHING Point your camera at a barcode and Nectar reads the product's full ingredient list and nutrition data in seconds. No barcode on the pack? Point the camera at the ingredient label instead and Nectar will read it directly. ONE SCORE, FULLY EXPLAINED Every product gets a single number from 0 to 100, built from its own ingredient list and nutrition data. Tap through and you'll see exactly how it was calculated — which ingredients pulled the score down, which nutrients pulled it up, and where the underlying data came from. You can disagree with us. We show our work either way. FIND SOMETHING BETTER When a product scores poorly, Nectar suggests cleaner alternatives in the same category — so you leave with something in your basket instead of just putting it back. BROWSE BY AISLE Explore any aisle — bars, protein, snacks and drinks — ranked by score, then narrow by category: Greek yogurt, granola, chips, sparkling water and more. MADE FOR YOUR HOUSEHOLD Tell Nectar about allergies, dietary preferences and the specific ingredients you'd rather avoid. Anything you've flagged is called out on every product you scan, for you and your family. KEEP TRACK Save products to your pantry, see everything you've scanned, and watch your average score improve as your basket changes. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Nectar reads from Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central — public food databases covering millions of products — and applies its own scoring model on top. Sources are named on every product page. IMPORTANT Nectar is an information tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it isn't a substitute for guidance from a doctor or registered dietitian. Always read the physical label if you have a serious allergy.
