About What Can I Cook Today?
You know that moment. The fridge is open, there’s chicken, half an onion, and something in a tub — and you have no idea what to make. You scroll through a recipe site, find forty options, and end up ordering in anyway. This app answers one simple question: What can I cook for dinner right now, with what I actually have? Tell it what’s in your fridge — or simply photograph the shelf and let it identify the ingredients — and you’ll get three meals you can cook tonight. THREE IDEAS, NOT FORTY Most recipe apps bury you in options and leave you to make the decision. This one gives you three: the quickest thing you could make, the most filling, and one you’d never have thought of. Each comes with the cooking time, estimated cost, and how much of the recipe you already have at home. PHOTOGRAPH YOUR CUPBOARD Point the camera at your fridge, pantry shelf, or counter. It reads what’s there and starts from that — no typing a list and no searching through hundreds of ingredients. It’s useful when you can see the food but can’t be bothered to catalogue it. Leftovers work too: half a roast chicken and yesterday’s rice can be the start of something new. COOKING MODE THAT READS TO YOU When you’re ready to cook, the recipe opens one step at a time, with text large enough to read from across the kitchen. Each step can be read aloud, so you’re not prodding your screen with wet or flour-covered hands. Tap once and it keeps reading as you move through the method. It even ducks your music rather than stopping it. IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE Recipes are available in 55 languages, including all eleven of South Africa’s official languages — isiZulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans, Sesotho, Setswana, Xitsonga, siSwati, Tshivenda, isiNdebele, Sepedi, and English. The dish name, ingredients, and every step are written in your chosen language. COOKS FOR WHERE YOU ARE Set your country once and the app adapts to it. Ingredients are ones you can buy, the cuisine leans local, and costs are shown in your own currency. Mielie meal and wors in South Africa. Garri and plantain in Nigeria. Ugali and sukuma wiki in Kenya. Atta and dal in India. A SHOPPING LIST FOR WHAT’S MISSING Anything a recipe needs that you don’t have goes straight onto your shopping list, grouped so you’re not walking around the shop twice. Tick things off as you buy them, and they move into your kitchen automatically. SAVE WHAT WORKED, SKIP WHAT DIDN’T Keep the dinners worth cooking again. Skip the ones that weren’t — and they won’t be put in front of you a second time. What you’ve cooked recently drops down the list, so you’re not eating the same thing every Tuesday. SHOW OFF YOUR PLATE When you’re done, photograph what you made. Your finished dish comes back stamped and ready to share with whoever needs to see it. ABOUT THE RECIPES Recipes are generated by AI, which allows them to be created around the exact contents of your fridge rather than pulled from a fixed recipe list. Use your own judgement in the kitchen. Check that meat is cooked through and ingredients are suitable for everyone you’re feeding. SUBSCRIPTIONS Ai Pots gives you 3 free AI meal generations. To keep going, choose a plan: • Home Cook — R29.99/month — 60 AI meals every month • AI Pots Pro — R59.99/month — 200 AI meals every month Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
