New effects • 13 new blocks: – freeze and rhythm: Freeze, Slicer, Swell; – dynamics: Transient, Multiband; – voice: Vocal, Vocoder, Doubler; – synth and sound: 12-string, Synth, Lo-fi; – reverbs: Gated and Reverse. • Two graphic equalizers. • Drive: the circuits are split into four families, each with its own look, and five new ones join them. • Delay: a second tap, reverse, modulation, filters in the feedback loop and ducking. • Phaser gains a Vibe mode. Compressor gets knee, mix and a detector filter. Pitch gets a pedal mode and the Voice engine with a formant knob: a voice shifted an octave up or down keeps its vowels. • Harmonizer: up to four formant-preserving voices, a choir, and the key picked from a list. Autotune holds the note and keeps your vibrato. • Shimmer in Cloud: a fifth up, an octave and a fifth up, and an octave down. • Every block has its own presets. A looper rebuilt for the stage • New cells: a ring with the waveform and buttons in the corners (mute, solo, undo, play). Each cell stops and starts on its own and comes back in time. • Loops up to 64 bars. The other loops are multiples of the first (×¼…×8) and stay in time even with no tempo set. • Undo by layer: each press removes one layer, and the last press deletes the take itself. • Reverse, speed from ½ to ×8, transpose ±12, follow tempo, fades, overdub decay, multiply and bounce. • Volume and transpose: hold the button and slide your finger. • A chain of its own for recording each loop: pick a rig preset or a scene. You can hand the rig to a single loop. • Loop library: save, preview, import and export, load into any cell, send to the sampler and back. 27 factory drum grooves: rock, metal, grunge, post-punk, neo-soul and more. A MIDI loop locks into time with the loops already playing and brings its own kit. • Loops survive an app restart and a sample rate change. • Echo cancelling in the looper's gear menu: loops coming out of the speaker stay out of the new take. • One button to swap the playing loops for the stopped ones with a smooth crossfade (MIDI loops too), or to set the speed of every loop. Play starts from the top or from where it stopped, your choice. Song automation Record presets, scenes, knobs, morph, faders, pads and the looper into a setlist song. It all plays back along with the backing track. Points can be added and edited, and the lane's events show as a list. The pads on Perform light up with what is playing. Markers are no longer needed. Stage and setlists • A pad has its own scenes and its own menu: replace the sound, save the current rig into it, clear it. • Drag a preset straight onto a song's pad. Reorder the song editor by dragging. Sampler • A new look in the looper's style. Pads light up with their own level. • An acoustic kit made from real drums: SM Drums by Scott McLean. Capture • The standard NAM reference signal: send one file, the recording, to TONE3000 or any NAM trainer. • The level check tells you what is wrong. Plug-in on iPhone and iPad The Audio Unit looks and works like the app: chains, editors, presets, library and a shared MIDI map. MIDI • MIDI clock in and out: tempo from a drum machine or a DAW, start on the downbeat. • MIDI learn on every button and every looper parameter. A Four-Switch Loop Deck layout comes ready. • A sound learned by a trigger fires the pads and the looper with no delay. Also • Every volume goes up to +12 dB. • The theme editor sets the corner radius, and the light Concrete theme is warmer. • Feedback guard works in the background too. • Lots of fixes.
