About Alvorae — Video Recipes

Saved a recipe on social media and can never find it again? Alvorae fixes that. SHARE THE VIDEO From a video app, a social network or a cooking website, tap Share, pick Alvorae. Two seconds, one hand. THE RECIPE TAKES ITS PLACE Alvorae reads the caption, the subtitles and the text on screen, then writes the recipe: ingredients, steps, photo, timings. Automatic translation into your language, whatever the language of the video. The link to the original video is always one tap away. FIND IT. COOK IT. Type "chicken", "curry" or "no oven": the recipe comes back, even when the word is in the ingredients and not in the title. Then cooking mode: one step per screen, nice and big, with the picture of the moment. Made for the iPad propped on the counter too. WHAT ALVORAE DOES NOT DO No meal planning, no grocery list, no nutrition maths, no social feed. One thing, done well: keeping and finding the recipes you saw go by. OUR COMMITMENTS • Never an ad inside your recipe: not among the ingredients, not between the steps, not over cooking mode. It is written in our terms of use. Today, no ads at all. • Free to start, no card. A subscription will exist one day: price shown before any commitment, managed in your phone's settings, and what you saved stays yours, readable and unlimited in number. • No account to start. An e-mail account (a code you receive, no password) later backs up your library and brings it to your iPad or another phone. • The video is never kept: the link, the written recipe and a preview image, that's all. And if the recipe is written nowhere in the video? Alvorae tells you, keeps the link, the image and your note, and you can complete it yourself. It does not make up quantities. And when the video only gives the ingredients, the recipe shows them and points you back to the source for the steps. French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese.

What’s new

Version 1.0.2 · Updated October 2, 2026

Books recommended in a video now get their own card: title, author, and what the video says about them. A video that names several books lists them one by one. Find them by typing the title or the author.
