About Cantle

Cantle is a daily logic puzzle with one rule: two shapes joined by a line can't be the same color. There are four colors. The squares come already colored, and you color the circles. Every board has exactly one solution, checked before it reaches you, so you never have to guess. A NEW BOARD EVERY DAY Everyone in the world plays the same board each day, and a new one arrives at midnight UTC. Solve it and see your place on the day's leaderboard. Solve every day to build a streak. Every seven solves earn a freeze that covers a day you miss, and you can hold two. TWO DAILY BOARDS The Standard board is free for everyone. Cantle Pro adds the Hard board, a tougher daily puzzle with its own streak and its own leaderboard. FRIENDS AND DUELS Add friends with a six-character friend code and compare results on a friends leaderboard. Challenge a friend to a duel: you both get the same board and 24 hours to play it. EVENTS On some days of the year the daily boards are pictures for a holiday, like Halloween. Playing them earns free looks, and they stay yours. ACHIEVEMENTS Fifty-five medals for streaks, flawless solves, fast times, top places, practice, duels and friends, from bronze to legend. PRACTICE Unlimited boards on four levels, Seed, Theorem, Proof and Axiom, with your best time kept for each. Practice never touches your streak. Proof and Axiom come with Pro. THE ARCHIVE With Pro, every board since day one is ready to play. Playing a past board never changes your streak. MAKE IT YOURS Choose board themes, symbol sets and wallpapers, and build your own avatar. The Paper wallpaper, the Wax theme and the Sigils symbols are free. Paper is light, and the game can follow your phone between light and dark. Every color can show a symbol, so the puzzle stays easy to play even if you find colors hard to tell apart. NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS No email and no password: Cantle creates an anonymous profile the first time you open it. There are no ads and no third-party analytics. I make Cantle on my own. CANTLE PRO Cantle Pro is an optional subscription, monthly or yearly. It adds the daily Hard board, the full archive, and the Proof and Axiom levels in practice and duels. • From October 29 to November 1, the daily boards are Halloween pictures. On those days you play on a porch at night, and the Hard board sits in an old study. Open the game on any of those days and you get the Spooky symbols. Solve two boards for the Moonlit wallpaper and three for the Pumpkin theme. There are Halloween medals too. • The Paper wallpaper is now free, and so are the Wax theme and the Sigils symbols that go with it. Paper is light. On a phone in light mode the game uses it by itself and goes dark when your phone does. • Six new paid looks in the Shop. • The Shop doesn't sell looks in sets anymore. You tap an item, buy it, and it's on right away. • Your profile card now shows your wallpaper. • When you solve a board, the game compares your time with your usual time on boards of the same size. • After a duel won by less than a second, a 7-day streak or a board with no mistakes, the game says so in a few words. • I removed the two medals you could only get by missing a day, so there are 55 now. Tap a medal you've earned to watch it again. • If you press Back or swipe from the edge in the middle of a board, the game asks before you leave. • In Settings, under Event boards, you choose how a board looks on event days: the event scene, your own wallpaper in a frame, or no decorations at all. • The game can remind you when an event starts and on its last day. Tap Remind me on the event card or turn on Event reminders in Settings. Without that, there are no reminders. • When Halloween ends, the game shows everything you collected, and all of it stays yours. • If your Pro ends, your Hard results stay yours, and a Hard board still counts if you had Pro at any time that day. The game also tells you why a Hard result isn't on the Leaderboard. • Progress no longer says you missed days from before you had the game. • I rewrote the game's texts in all eight languages to sound simpler. I also fixed a case where a solve could get lost if you closed the game while it was being sent.
