About Raccoon Transit

Pick a bus stop and Raccoon Transit turns it into a living pixel-art scene: real arrival times, real weather, and a bench full of raccoon commuters waiting for the same bus you are. The arrivals board is live data for any stop in supported regions, so it shows what is actually coming and how many minutes away it is. Beside it sits the local temperature, a three day forecast, and the current EPA air quality reading. Finding your stop: - Search by stop name, stop code, or route number - Ask for the stops closest to you, if you choose to share your location - Ask for directions to any place, with every option on a map, and save Home and Work for one-tap trips - Heart the stops you use and switch between them without leaving the scene - Open straight to a favorite, or to search, whichever you prefer Add the arrivals widget to your home screen to keep a favorite stop's next departures in view without opening anything. It comes in two sizes, draws its own bus stop scene by day and by night, and can hide the routes you never ride. Tap a departure and track it to put a live countdown on your lock screen. It keeps itself up to date as the bus gets closer, and the scene plays the wait out: the stop fills up, the bus pulls in, and then it has gone. Plan a trip from where you are to anywhere in the region. Every option shows its buses and trains on a map, you can save the whole trip to get a reminder before each bus, and Home and Work are one tap away. Made for iPhone and iPad. On an iPad left on a counter or a desk it becomes a departure board you can read across the room. Supported Cities: - Seattle - New York City - Los Angeles - Washington DC - Boston - San Francisco Bay Area - Philadelphia - San Diego, CA - Portland - Minneapolis - Austin - St. Louis - Raleigh-Durham - Nashville - Santa Barbara, CA Raccoon Transit is free. There are no ads and no third-party trackers. Your favorites, saved places and settings are stored on your device. Optional theme packs dress up the scene for a one-time purchase which helps pay for the servers that power the raccoons. A bought theme is yours to keep forever, even after it leaves the shop. Transit data comes from each region's own transit agencies, provided AS IS: through the OneBusAway API, an open source project of the Open Transit Software Foundation, and from agencies' own published GTFS and GTFS-Realtime feeds. Weather comes from Open-Meteo and air quality from EPA AirNow. This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the OneBusAway project, the Open Transit Software Foundation, or any transit agency.
