Await - NYC Subway Departures

Await shows every New York City subway train leaving the stations within a five-minute walk of you — both directions, one screen. No account. No ads. No tracking. Open the app and the board is already yours: each line at your stations, the next departures counting down live, uptown and downtown side by side. HOW IT WORKS Await reads the MTA's public real-time feeds directly on your phone and builds the departure board on-device. There is no middleman server, and your location never leaves the phone — it is used to pick the stations you can walk to, nothing more. • Live countdowns for every line at your stations, in both directions • Service alerts shown right on the board • Late-night service shown as it actually runs • Works without location — deny permission and pick your station by name instead • Offline station search: find any station by name without a signal • One screen. No tabs, no map, no setup. WHAT IT COVERS The New York City Subway — every line the MTA publishes real-time data for. No buses, no commuter rail. TIP JAR Settings has three optional tips. They unlock nothing: the whole app is free, and it stays that way whether you leave one or not. It is there for the people who want to say the board is worth something. PRIVACY Your location is read only while the app is open and only to choose nearby stations. It is never stored and never sent anywhere. There is no account, no analytics, and no tracking SDK. Tips are handled by the App Store — Await never sees your payment details, and keeps no record that you tipped.
