About Fondly: Photo Feed

Fondly turns your photo library into a full-screen feed. Open it whenever you have a spare moment and scroll through your own photos. The feed learns what you love as you use it. Tap the heart when you like a photo, or bookmark it to find again. It recognizes familiar faces as well, pets included, and gathers their photos together. Nothing you would rather not see has to come back. Hide a photo, person, place, album, or stretch of time and it stays out of the feed. Nothing changes in your Photos library. Fondly's ranking and its grouping of people and pets happen on your phone. Your photos never go to us, and neither does what Fondly learns about them. Fondly requires no account and has no advertising, analytics, or tracking. A note from Tyler, who made Fondly: I have about ten thousand photos of my two-year-old daughter, and I almost never saw them. My wife would scroll a feed at night instead and come away comparing, why isn't she eating properly, what am I doing wrong. So I built the feed I wished we had. It learns what you love the way any feed does, but every photo is one you took, and it points the algorithm at your own life instead of a cherry-picked slice of somebody else's.

What’s new

Version 1.0.2 · Updated October 1, 2026

Fondly now finds your dogs and cats. A pet gets a circle under the photo, a name if you give it one, and a feed of its own, the same as a person. Occasions: save a birthday, an anniversary or a holiday, even one that moves each year, and Fondly brings its photos back around the day, with a reminder if you want one. Browse your photos by place and by subject. Photo review brings up blurry shots, accidental clips, near-duplicates and old screenshots, so you can clear them out of your library. Pinch to zoom works on photos, Live Photos and videos. The zoom stays, and one finger moves you around the picture. Rotate a sideways photo or video from its menu. The change is saved in Photos, where Revert to Original undoes it. The face under a photo is the face from that photo, and a wrong one is fixed on its own. A face that is not a person, like a statue, can be taken out for good. When you name someone, Fondly asks about their other groups first, and two people in one photo are never filed as one. Choose which songs play under your photos in Settings, and the music picks up where it left off when you turn the sound back on. The line under the date says how long ago a photo was taken the way you would say it: 1 year and 8 months ago, 2½ years ago. A portrait photo stays upright when you turn your phone, and the first time you open Fondly it shows how to move to the next photo. Photos that used to say "Photo unavailable" load now, and fewer of them are fetched from iCloud in the first place. The feed no longer brings the same day back a few photos later, and a photo you took twice in a minute shows once, at its best. Fondly is now in Nepali. Fixed a crash after the phone had been asleep with Fondly open.
