About The Loop: Neighborhoods

The Loop is a private neighborhood app for adults who live in Bouldin Creek, Austin. It keeps the useful local information and gives each neighbor control over what reaches their feed. EVERYTHING STAYS CHRONOLOGICAL Posts appear newest first after your personal controls apply. There is no engagement ranking and no promoted content. SET YOUR OWN VOLUME Turn political posts off. Quiet threads classified as contentious. Mute a member when you do not want their posts in your feed. Your controls affect only what you see. HANDLE THE USEFUL NEIGHBORHOOD STUFF Ask for help, offer something, share a street update, find a lost item or pet, post an event, recommend a local service, or discuss a civic issue. Reply in a thread, mark a post resolved, report a problem, and keep up with nearby neighbors. MAKE A COMMITTEE Create or join a public or private committee. Committee owners can manage membership, appoint moderators, and keep committee posts focused on the work. PRIVATE BY DESIGN The Loop asks for your Bouldin Creek home address and your statement that you live there. Your address is encrypted, is not shown to other members, and is not sent to the AI classifier. You can add an optional profile photo, edit your profile, export your account data, or delete your account in the app. Posts and replies are processed by an automated classifier after a sensitive-data scrub. Topic labels power personal feed controls. Private safety signals help a human administrator prioritize review. AI labels do not impose account penalties. The Bouldin Creek app is free. It has no ads and does not sell personal information. The Loop is not an emergency service.
