LookAt: Concert Sign

Hold up your phone and be seen. LookAt turns the screen into a sign with letters big enough to read from the back of a room — type a message, pick two colors, raise it. WHY IT READS FROM FAR AWAY Distance is won by letter height and contrast, not by brightness alone. LookAt sizes every typeface by cap height, so the letters fill the same share of the screen whichever face you pick, and it measures the real WCAG contrast between your two colors — it warns you before you walk into a dark room with a combination nobody can read, and adds a halo when the pair is genuinely marginal. SEVEN FACES, ALL CHOSEN FOR DISTANCE • Expanded — the widest strokes, and the best raw legibility • Rounded, Condensed, Mono, Serif and Slanted, each for a different voice • Dot Matrix — a stadium departure board, drawn lamp by lamp MOVE IT, OR HOLD IT STILL • Scroll long messages left or right, at the speed you choose • Fixed for the short ones • Blink, up to six times a second • Mirror mode, for a sign read through glass MADE FOR THE MOMENT • 15 background colors and 14 text colors, plus 12 pairs already picked for visibility • Up to 240 characters, uppercase at a tap • Save 24 presets and bring the right one back in a second • The screen goes to full brightness and stays awake while the sign is up — and your own brightness comes back the moment you leave • Turn the phone for a wider sign • iPhone and iPad HONEST BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking. No network at all — LookAt has never asked for a connection, so nothing you type ever leaves your phone. A note on what a phone can do: a screen is bright, but it is not a stadium display. In direct sunlight, or from more than a few dozen meters, even the best pair of colors loses. LookAt is at its best indoors, after dark and inside the crowd — arrivals halls, concerts, finish lines, school shows.
