Switchback is a cozy hiking and park management simulator about building tiny wilderness escapes. Design winding trails through beautiful landscapes, guide visiting Hikees (Switchback's Hikers) to scenic viewpoints, and shape a park that feels uniquely yours. Every trail you build changes how your little park comes together and how your hikers experience it. Plan routes through the terrain, decide where the best overlooks and destinations belong, and keep your park growing without losing the quiet charm that made it special in the first place. Along the way, you’ll explore the wilderness yourself, discover little surprises, and watch your park fill with life. Herons, hidden treasure, and new ways to spend a day on the water. - Great blue herons have moved into your marshes. They stalk the shallows for fish, nest together, and raise their chicks until the young take their first flight. - Treasure chests are hidden in some of your parks. Build a trail out to one to see what's inside. - Get out on the water. Rent rowboats and canoes from a lakeside hut, or send your visitors tubing down the river. - Every park has a Trailboard, a scrapbook of your park and the stickers and keepsakes you find there. - Lake Loop has a whole new look, with a sandy beach, a boardwalk through the reeds and a heron rookery on the hill. - Mallards paddle your lakes, and hummingbirds visit your flowers. Hang a feeder to bring them in. - Clearer lakes, waves in the wind, rivers that really flow, and hazy distances on a summer day. - Zoom in closer to your visitors, and choose your bridge as you draw it. - Lots of little fixes. Trees stand straight on hillsides, the camera glides more smoothly, and bugs lovingly squashed.
