About Clever Unicorns
Six games to count, observe and think with unicorns! Clever Unicorns is for young children who already recognize numbers and are starting to explore arithmetic. Choose a pink, purple, rainbow or gold unicorn, then discover six games in a colorful world. COUNT AND OBSERVE • Addition: solve simple problems with answers no greater than 9. • Subtraction: practice arithmetic with no negative answers. • Logic sequences: look at the shapes, colors and numbers to find what comes next. In these games, a wrong answer lets children try the same question again. Correct answers fill a crown and bring the unicorn's animations to life. PLAY AGAINST A UNICORN • Rock-paper-scissors: choose your move and be the first to score five points. • Tic-tac-toe: place hearts against the unicorn's stars. Line up three hearts, plan your next move and block your opponent. • Nim: take one or two stars each turn. Whoever takes the last star wins the round! Each round starts with seven to ten stars. In tic-tac-toe and Nim, the first to win ten rounds wins the match. Crowns show each player's progress. A draw in tic-tac-toe gives neither player a point. The first player is chosen randomly at the start of a match, then the child and the unicorn take turns starting each round. CHOOSE THE CHALLENGE Tic-tac-toe and Nim each offer three difficulty levels: easy, medium and hard. Easy is selected by default and lets the unicorn make mistakes. Each game's difficulty is set separately using one, two or three stars in settings. NO WORDS TO READ WHILE PLAYING Large illustrated buttons let children play with a simple tap. A visual tutorial introduces the +, −, = and ? symbols. Unicorns react with animations and sound effects, and fireworks celebrate the child's final victory. PLAY OFFLINE • No account to create. • No advertising or in-app purchases. • No Internet connection needed to play. • No analytics or collection of personal data. The selected unicorn and difficulty levels are saved only on the iPhone.
