SamWandelt brings personal walking stories, practical route information and your own walking history together in one calm app. Discover routes by category or map, browse photos and route details, and open a verified GPX line when one is available. During an active walk, the app can show your position, progress, distance and time. With background location permission, recording can continue while the screen is locked. After finishing, you can review your recorded route and share it as a GPX file. Use SamWandelt to search routes, save favourites, keep basic route information and available GPX data offline, review elevation profiles and checked route notes, track activities, earn badges, build your Walking Passport, share routes and report inappropriate community comments. Location, photo access, notifications, live sharing and an account are optional. A basic offline route pack does not include offline map tiles or photos. Some routes do not yet have a verified digital track. SamWandelt is an aid; always pay attention to terrain, closures, weather and current local conditions.
