About KRIZ — Reading Diary
KRIZ is a reading diary, not another book catalogue. A catalogue answers “what have I read”. A diary answers “what happened to me while I was reading it”. KRIZ is about the second one. Three sections instead of lists Past, present, future. A book lives through them in turn, as it should. A diary you assemble yourself Quotes, thoughts, questions, observations, characters, things to explore after the book. Switch on only the blocks you need — the rest stays out of the way. Nothing is required: marking a book as finished is enough. Search your own words Remember the quote but not the book? A few words will find it. A book is added in a second By title, by author, or by scanning the barcode on the cover. What to read next The randomiser picks from the books you saved, from your shelf, or offers something new — from a selection of two thousand books with covers, descriptions and readers’ ratings. Cards for stories Eight ready-made looks. You tick what to show — cover, quote, rating, dates — and the app composes the card. Month summaries How much you read, what you liked most, which book turned out the longest. A fortune for the day One short line — a reason to open the diary even on a busy day. Import from Goodreads and StoryGraph Ratings, reviews, dates and shelves come across with the books. Free forever The whole diary: any number of books, entries and shelves. Search through your own words, barcode scanner, sync between devices, import, light and dark themes, story cards. What came free stays free. The KRIZ subscription adds Quote scanner: photograph a page, the text is recognised and you can fix it before saving. Voice notes. Photos for a book. Ambient sounds: rain, a library, a café. Every card template and extra appearances. The first seven days are free. Your entries are yours The diary lives on your phone and works offline. An account is only for syncing between devices — and it is optional. Backups are saved as an ordinary file. Ukrainian, Russian, English, Greek.
