About Rowan: Chronic Illness Diary
Rowan remembers what you told it last month, so you don't have to. If you live with something chronic, you know the appointment problem. You get a short visit, and the flare that frightened you in June has blurred into "it's been rough lately." Rowan exists so you walk in with the specifics instead. Tell it how today went in your own words — the headache, the joint that gave out, the morning you felt almost normal. Rowan writes it down as a real health record: kept by date, exportable, and yours, instead of a chat that scrolls away. Over weeks it begins to notice what you might not, the patterns worth mentioning to your doctor, and it follows trends across months rather than just today. Your medications live there too, with reminders that match what you actually take rather than what a prescription said a year ago. Then, before an appointment, build a visit brief. Months of logs become one page you can hand over or read from, so the things that mattered don't get forgotten in the short time you get. Rowan is not a doctor, nurse or licensed clinician, and it is not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat. It helps you organize, track and prepare — your care team treats you. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Your health record is stored on your device, and AI features are optional. Before anything is shared, Rowan shows exactly what would be sent — your message, recent conversation and selected health context — and names the AI providers that would receive it, and it asks your permission. Without AI you keep the symptom log, trends, medications and reminders, visit briefs, export and the emergency card. You can turn AI sharing off at any time in Settings. Export and deletion controls are in Settings too, and the privacy policy explains what is stored, for how long, and who receives it: https://hypersage.ai/rowan/privacy.html Everything that makes Rowan a record is free — the symptom log, the trends, the visit briefs and the emergency card, with no cap. Rowan Plus lifts the daily message limit and uses a more capable model. Safety guidance is never metered and never paywalled: if a message looks like an emergency, Rowan responds even at zero messages left and with no subscription. For adults 18 and over. What’s new
Version 1.1 · Updated October 5, 2026
- You choose whether to use AI features. Before anything is shared, Rowan shows what would be sent and who receives it, and you can turn AI sharing off at any time in Settings. - Medication reminders have their own page: set several daily times, mark each dose as taken, and see at a glance whether notifications are on. - Changing a schedule keeps your earlier dose history, and your visit brief shows current medication times. - A clearer Today screen with quick access to logging and your history. - Search past entries by symptom, note or factor, and correct dates and times with more confidence. - Build your visit brief around your own questions: edit them, put the most important first, and choose 7, 30 or 90 days. - The brief brings together your conditions, allergies, medications, appointment focus and recent notes. - More reliable chat retry and history, photo attachments, exports and deletion.
