About ClubRoutes

Most running clubs organise themselves in a WhatsApp group. The schedule is in someone's head, the route is a photo of a map, and nobody knows who is turning up until they turn up. ClubRoutes is for that club. WHAT MEMBERS GET Open the app and see what is on this week. Tap going, maybe or not going. See who else is coming before you leave the house. Every session carries the detail that usually gets asked in the group chat: where to meet, what time, how far, which pace groups, who is leading it, and the weather forecast for that spot at that hour. Routes come with a map, the elevation profile and the distance, so you know what you are signing up for. Leaders can upload a GPX file or import a route straight from Strava. If the group splits up on the run, you can share your live position with everyone else on that session until you stop or the session ends. You switch it on yourself, every time. WHAT CLUB ORGANISERS GET Set up Tuesday intervals once and it repeats every week. Change the meeting point and everyone who has RSVP'd gets told. Take a register on the day. See who has drifted away and who has been out every week for a month. Post announcements to the whole club, or to just the leaders, or to one pace group, and see who has actually read them. Set a cap on a session and the waitlist sorts itself out, including when somebody drops out at nine o'clock the night before. Subscribe to your club's calendar and every session appears in the calendar app you already use. ALSO IN THE APP Club messaging, session comments and photos, route conditions members can update after a wet week, badges for the things worth noticing, and an invite code you can read out at the end of a run. GETTING STARTED If your club already uses ClubRoutes, ask them for the invite code. It looks like HEATH-4821. If it does not, you can create a club in about a minute and invite people. Every club is free, with no limits and no card needed. The app is free, and members never pay for anything. Questions: [email protected]

What’s new

Version 1.3 · Updated October 22, 2026

Watch your club run live. During a session the Live Map shows everyone who is sharing, with pins that move smoothly between updates. Follow the main group, or tap a runner to follow them. If you leave the route, ClubRoutes asks whether you want to stop sharing. When the run is over, the map becomes a replay.
