CarDex - Car Spotting

Every car you pass in the street is a card to collect. Take a photo of a car, CarDex identifies it, and it joins your garage. A city car pays little. A supercar pays big. A car nobody had found yet pays more still. HOW IT WORKS Point your camera at a car and shoot. CarDex recognises the make, the model, the generation and the year, then scores it by how rare that model is. The rarity shows on the card itself: a quiet frame for an everyday car, gold for a legendary one. LEAGUES A week-long competition among everyone who joined: the most different models wins. Every scan is judged on the spot — one more model, a duplicate, or the wrong make — and three scans count a day. The top three leave with gold, silver or bronze: badges to wear on your profile. THE LEADERBOARD A real place among every collector, computed from your XP, and a leaderboard among friends. When a car earns you places, you see it right after the reveal. WHAT YOU COLLECT 25 brands and 125 cars in the catalogue. Every brand has its own progress: complete Ferrari, complete Porsche, and watch your garage fill up. Badges unlock on their own from what you own, and each one explains itself with a tap. CARS OFF THE LIST Came across a Pagani? It is not in the catalogue, and it still gets rated: a card is created for it, and it is worth the same to everyone who finds it after you. Your discovery makes the game bigger for every player. YOUR CARDS, YOUR WAY Keep the whole photograph, or cut the car out as a sticker (on supported iPhones). Enhance goes further and puts your car somewhere else: a studio, a sunset, a garage. Your first scene is free. Your original photo is never overwritten, and you can switch back whenever you like. SHARE WHAT YOU FIND Publish a car to the CarDex feed, one car at a time and only when you choose. Follow other collectors, react to their finds, and pin your three favourite cars to your profile. Turn any car into a story card for Instagram, with the city where you spotted it and never the address. THE MAP If you allow location, every car you scan is pinned where you found it. The position is rounded to about a hundred metres before it is stored, and it never appears in the feed. COME BACK EVERY DAY Every day you add a car lights your flame. Three days running and every car earns 20% more XP; thirty days and it is double. And every week brings a mission, the same one for everyone: "3 different Audis", seven days, and a badge at the end.
