Radiotherapy contouring on iPad: practise on real DICOM, score your contours against a reference, and see what the difference does to the dose. For radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, RTTs and students — the tasks you know from the planning system, with Apple Pencil, on a device you can take into the seminar room. Everything stays on the iPad. Pick the organs you want; every result is yours to review and correct before you keep it. • ROI geometry, registration and fusion, contour assessment, plan evaluation, DICOM networking, export, structure templates, backup — and unlimited cases. CONTOUR • Twelve tools, from freehand and spline to 3D brushes and region grow. • Box-prompted "suggest contour" for a quick single structure. • Cine through the stack to check a contour slice by slice. DERIVE • Build ROIs from existing ones: margins (uniform or anisotropic), Boolean algebra, HU thresholds, walls and an automatic patient outline, each with a live preview. REGISTER AND FUSE • Align a second image set — CT, MR or PET — automatically, by hand, or guided by matched structures. • Overlay, checkerboard, blinds, spy-glass and difference fusion. • Contour on one image set, copy across the registration, save as a new structure set. ASSESS • Score your contours against a reference set, per structure: Dice, Hausdorff distance (maximum and percentile) and mean surface distance. REVIEW DOSE • Load RT Dose and RT Plan: isodose wash and lines, DVH, dose statistics and clinical-goal tables — for the reference contours and yours side by side, so the dosimetric effect of a contouring difference is visible. • Drag the legend arrows to set the displayed dose range on the image. • Sum doses from several plans, including across registered image sets. CONNECT • Classic DICOM networking with your PACS or TPS: verify, query, retrieve and send (C-ECHO, C-FIND, C-GET, C-STORE). • Let a PACS query and pull studies from the iPad (C-FIND, C-GET, C-MOVE) — off by default, limited to the nodes you configure. • Encrypt and authenticate every connection with TLS (DICOM BCP 195) using your hospital's certificates or one created on the iPad — off by default until your IT department turns it on. • Export RT Structure Sets and registrations in TPS-portable form; anonymise on export. • Brachytherapy applicator and catheter paths in imported structure sets are preserved. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Patient imaging is processed entirely on the device and never sent to us. No analytics, no tracking. • Sign-in with roles, encrypted storage, idle auto-lock and an app-switcher privacy shield. In English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish and Turkish. RadContour is a research, education and training tool. It is not a certified medical device and is not for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, dose calculation or any patient-care decision — always use validated clinical systems for those. Requires iPadOS 26 or later. Apple Pencil strongly recommended. AI auto-contouring additionally requires an Apple M-series iPad (M1 or later); everything else works on any supported iPad. RadContour Pro is optional.
