About Ate This Daily
Ate This Daily turns food logging into something you'll actually keep doing. Take a photo of what you're eating and get calories, protein, carbs, and fat back in seconds — no searching a food database, no guessing portion sizes, no typing. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Snap a photo — AI reads the dish and returns calories and macros automatically • Scan a nutrition label and see how processed the food is, based on the NOVA food classification system • Log up to 8 dishes from one meal in a single batch • Got the estimate wrong? Correct it in plain language ("no rice, extra chicken") and it re-analyzes • Adjust portions after a dish is logged • Track water and other liquids — soups and drinks count toward your daily water goal too • Log supplements and vitamins alongside your meals • See your day at a glance on a calorie ring dashboard, with macro breakdowns and streaks • Add a Home Screen widget to see today's remaining calories and protein without opening the app • Invite friends with your own referral code GET PERSONAL TARGETS During setup, tell us your goal — lose weight, build muscle, or maintain — along with your age, height, weight, and activity level, and we calculate daily calorie and macro targets for you. FREE TO START Every account gets 3 AI photo analyses a day, with the option to earn more by watching a short ad. PLUS AND UNLIMITED • Plus — 30 AI analyses a day • Unlimited — no daily cap Both unlock your full meal history (free accounts see the last 30 days), AI-generated 7-day and 30-day diet review reports covering protein, carbs, fat, food variety, and factors that may affect recovery, plus PDF/CSV export of your data. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your meal photos and data are yours. We don't sell your information. Available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. What’s new
Version 1.3.1 · Updated October 23, 2026
- New: Redesigned "Find a Meal" in History. The old scattered search and calendar buttons are now one entry point, switchable between text search and calendar browsing - Calendar view shows how many calories you ate each day — days over your goal turn red (redder the more you're over), with a line chart for the week's trend. Tap a day to filter the list to just that day. The calendar can also be shared as an image - The dashboard's date picker calendar now matches History's: daily calories, red when over goal, a trend line, and share as image - New: Daily Overview. Tap into any day from History to switch between Overview (your meal list), Trend (a protein/carbs/fat intake chart against goal), and Detail (an itemized nutrition breakdown per meal) — each shareable as its own image - Supplement intake in History now shows as its own card at the end of each day's list - New: Meal cost tracking. Optionally log how much a meal cost when recording or editing it, with your own choice of currency - New: Extra nutrients. AI photo analysis now estimates a few more nutrients, which can also be entered or edited manually — shown in their own section on the meal detail page - Daily AI usage for Meal Ideas and Daily Photo Analysis is now combined into one "AI uses today" counter, with a more consistent look and the daily limit raised to 6 - For meals with multiple photos, you can now reset the cover photo from the edit screen after saving too - Improved meal photo display: the main photo on the detail, edit, and share pages now shows the whole image instead of cropping it, with the leftover space filled by a blurred version of the same photo. Photos also fade in instead of popping in over a flat gray box - Sharing a single meal's image no longer shows the time or a "Total Calories" label; sharing a whole day's image also drops the "Total Calories" label and now shows each meal's calories next to it - The home screen widget now matches the app's hand-drawn picture-book look - Export Records and Meal Reminders in Settings moved under General, easier to find - The nutrition-label capture screen is clearer about photographing the food's own label - Fixed meals occasionally disappearing and reappearing in History, plus other UI polish
