Same Kind: Photo Patterns

What keeps catching your eye? Same Kind is a private camera and visual diary. It gathers the photos you take and the photos you already love into kinds on your iPhone, so you start to see your own way of looking and carry it into the next shot. A QUIET CAMERA Open straight into the camera. Auto Look reads the scene and picks a look to match; touch and hold the button to change its strength or try other looks. Camera tips offer one short hint when a shot needs it, like "Wipe the lens", "Fit everyone in" or "Get down to their level", and stay quiet the rest of the time. Choose Off, Quiet or Active in Settings. YOUR PHOTOS FIND THEIR KIND Space gathers your photos into kinds: people, places, food, light, whatever you keep returning to. Photos that don't belong anywhere yet wait in Other. Open a kind to scroll through it, see it as a grid, or explore it as a map of connected photos. Rename a kind, move a photo, or tap Find another and go shoot the next one. BRING THE PHOTOS YOU ALREADY LOVE Import selected photos or a date range from Apple Photos. Same Kind makes private copies on your iPhone and never edits your originals. SEE YOUR MONTHS Calendar shows what you noticed, day by day. SHARE ONE PHOTO WELL Share a single photo as it is or in one of 13 layouts, from Film strip and Date stamp to Gallery wall and Viewfinder. IMPROVE A FAVORITE Open a photo and tap Improve. The retoucher looks at that one photo and decides what it needs: a clearer sky, richer color, lifted shadows, a straighter horizon or a better crop. It aims to keep faces, people, text and objects as they are. If a photo already looks finished, it tells you and charges nothing. The improved version appears next to the original, which never changes; touch and hold to compare. Improve uses AI image editing. Only the photo you choose is sent, resized and without location or camera data, to our server and to OpenAI. Same Kind deletes the uploaded photo when processing finishes and the result once it is on your iPhone. CREDITS AND PLANS Improve uses credits, and each Improve shows its cost on the button before you tap. A failed Improve costs nothing. • Improve Monthly: 12,000 credits every month, billed monthly. • Improve Annual: 12,000 credits every month, billed yearly. • Top up: 4,000 credits, a one-time purchase. Plan credits are used first and expire when the next month's credits arrive. Top-up credits never expire. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. The camera, Space, Calendar, import and sharing work without an account or a subscription. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your library and how it is organized stay on your iPhone; Same Kind doesn't upload your library. Improve needs Sign in with Apple to hold your credits, and it sends only the photo you choose. Optional usage analytics never include your photos. If you allow it, Same Kind tells Meta which ads brought you to the app; your photos are never shared.
