What's new in 1.8.3 Chat & Community • Direct messages: chat one-on-one or in groups, share scenes right in the conversation, edit your messages, and mute chats you don't want to hear from. • Push notifications for new messages and collab invites. • Followed-creators rail, a follower leaderboard, and favorites opened straight from the feed. • Comment with countryball stickers and avatar emotes. • Like notifications now describe the scene they're about, and the inbox loads older notifications. Comic Creator • Compose editable panels into multi-panel comic pages. • Smooth zoom and pan on comic pages, with a live preview for active panels. • Customizable comic emotes like hearts, sweat, and zzz, browsable full-screen. Animation • Animation Studio is now the home for studio-first users, with a whole-scene timeline, canvas zoom, snap guides, and ready-made presets. • Link layers into movable groups that animate together. • Move accessories over time and apply ready-made eye expressions. • Film playback and video export render the complete timeline, with soundtracks and trims included. Ball Editor & Scenes • New cel or vignette shading styles, with softer mascot-style shading. • Neutral eye proportions are kept on new and reset balls. • Scene templates to start faster. • Clear Background makes a scene transparent again. Sound • Sound browser: preview music from community posts before you use it. • Add clips at the selected panel's playhead. Marketplace • Marketplace has its own bottom navigation tab. • Searchable Texas flag artwork. Getting Started • Short guided hints walk newcomers through making their first ball and scene. Account & Safety • Daily streaks now sync to your account. • Stronger filters that block hateful content. • Safer saves: scene libraries recover from damaged indexes, and publishing shows clearer upload progress. Performance • Faster loading, smaller downloads, and many bug fixes.
