About Riff Social Music
Riff is where music lovers and musicians meet. Share what you are listening to, post the riff you just wrote, and find the people who actually get it. Whether you play in a band, produce at home, or simply love discovering new sounds, Riff gives your music taste a home and a community. SHARE YOUR SOUND Post photos, videos, and audio straight from your phone. Publish a quick idea, a full take, or the track that has been on repeat all week, and let people react and comment. FIND YOUR PEOPLE Tell Riff which instruments you play and which genres you love, then discover musicians and fans who match. Follow the people whose taste you trust and build a feed that sounds like you. MESSAGE AND JAM Talk one to one or start a group chat with your band. Send text, photos, videos, and voice notes, see when someone is typing, and keep the whole conversation in one place. CONNECT YOUR MUSIC Link your Spotify account to share what you are playing right now, and share tracks and clips from the apps you already use straight into Riff. BUILT FOR MUSIC A clean, fast interface designed around sound rather than noise. Light and dark themes, full English and Arabic support, and notifications you control. Riff is free to download and free to use. Questions or feedback? Reach us any time at [email protected]
What’s new
Version 1.0.21 · Updated September 6, 2026
New in this version • YouTube links now work the way Instagram, TikTok and Spotify links do. Share a video or a Short into Riff and the post carries a YouTube button that opens it. Posts you shared before this update are handled too — Riff reads the link out of the post itself, so nothing needs reposting. • Links are pressable everywhere. In a post, a comment, a chat message or a reel caption, a link you tap now opens. Before, it was plain text you had to copy. • A camera inside Riff, and it is the picker too. Tap the media button when adding to a post or sending a message and the camera opens straight away, with your most recent photos already along the bottom. Take a new one or tap an old one — no menu first. Fixed • The feed and reels no longer reload every time you switch tabs, so you keep your place. • Platform buttons show the right logo again. • The "You're offline" message no longer appears when you open the app on a working connection. • Forgot your password now works — a code really is emailed, and "Resend code" resends it. • Opening a reel no longer asks you to follow someone you already follow. • Several crashes fixed: opening comments on a reel or a post, the unfollow sheet in notifications, and leaving a profile or the suggested-people list while it was still loading.
