About Hanzi Stroke: Chinese Writing
Hanzi Stroke helps you learn to write simplified Chinese characters on iPhone and iPad. Practice stroke order, connect each hanzi with its pinyin and meaning, then write it from memory. For beginners learning Mandarin and HSK students who want to move from recognizing characters to remembering how to write them. Learn Chinese stroke order by writing Watch a character take shape, then practice with your finger or Apple Pencil on iPad. Get feedback on stroke order, stroke direction and character structure, and work on strokes that need attention. Animated stroke-order data covers more than 9,500 Chinese characters. Study HSK vocabulary in context Choose HSK 2.0 levels 1–6 or HSK 3.0 levels 1–6 and the advanced 7–9 group. Learn words with pinyin, meanings, pronunciation and example sentences. Look up a word in the built-in HSK dictionary by Chinese characters, pinyin or meaning, then bring it into your writing practice. Remember characters with spaced review In writing reviews, use pinyin, meaning and audio to recall a character before revealing the answer. Step-by-step hints help when you get stuck. Review intervals adapt to your recall, and writing history distinguishes attempts made independently from those made with hints. Flashcards, dictation and sentence fill-in exercises give you more ways to practice. Practice the words you need Create personal word lists from pasted text, CSV or TXT files, or scans of printed simplified Chinese. Text recognition runs on your device.
