About Wild Noise: Bird Song ID
Wild Noise identifies birds by song and call on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and also frogs, insects and mammals. Keep a journal of what you hear and see, add your own photos and find where any species lives. Identification runs on your device and uploads nothing, no account is needed, and Pro is one purchase with no subscription. LISTEN • Tap Start Listening to see species appear on a live spectrogram, with names, photos and color-coded match strength • Open a detection card for your recording, a reference song and Wikipedia; stop for a session report to share • Offline GBIF range data leaves out species that cannot occur where and when you are. Unusual candidates stay visible and labeled • Or identify a voice memo, video or audio file in Tools, one free a day; whole folders on Mac with Pro YOUR JOURNAL • Your sightings by day. Every bird Wild Noise identifies becomes one, marked as heard • Mark it seen, add a note, replay your recording and the reference song, or read Wikipedia. Correct it with "Not right?", remove it, or discard a whole session • "I saw a bird" logs a bird in one step: species likely near you first, or search them all. Choose seen, heard or both, the date, a note and photos YOUR PHOTOS • From the photo picker (no library access needed), the camera on iPhone and iPad, or a file on Mac • An old photo brings its date and place, for past sightings • Your newest photo becomes the bird's Wild Dex card.
