GridDown Maps

About GridDown Maps

Safer first-aid advice • The field manual's outdated medical advice is now clearly flagged, with what to do instead. That includes old snakebite, tourniquet, diarrhoea and deworming advice that current guidance says can cause harm. • Corrected the bleach dose for 8.25% bleach in the water quick card: 2 drops per litre, the same as regular bleach. Your data, better protected • Cancelling an edit no longer erases what was there — including allergies, medication and expiry dates. • Restoring a backup now confirms only once your data is actually saved. • If your saved data is damaged, GridDown recovers the last good copy instead of locking you out. More accurate answers • Get there finds the shortest route more reliably, and no longer says "no route" when you're already next to the road you need. • Seasonal forest roads now show their open dates for every vehicle type, including motorcycles and OHVs. • Kit shows days of food for your whole household, not added up per person. • Camp check says when it only searched what's on screen, instead of claiming there's no water nearby. • Plants show where they're recorded growing in all 50 states, not just 18. Fixes • The menu keeps working after you rotate your phone to landscape and back. • Teammate positions on the mesh map now show when they're out of date, and distances are measured from you, not from the middle of the map. • You can't delete a state while its terrain or forest roads are still downloading. Looks • Cleaner icons for day/night, night vision, battery saver and the moon, which now shows tonight's actual phase.
