About Nag: To Do List & Reminders
Most reminder apps notify you once. Then the task sits there, quietly forgotten. Nag doesn't let that happen. Set it to work with your existing Apple Reminders, or use it on its own — either way it keeps notifying you, every 15 minutes or on your schedule, until you actually complete the task. Mark it done in Nag or in Reminders, and the nagging stops instantly. Free to try. One payment of $4.99 unlocks everything, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. No subscription, ever. WITH APPLE REMINDERS, OR WITHOUT IT • Add nags directly in Nag — no other app, no account, nothing to migrate • Or watch the reminders you already have, exactly as they are • Two-way sync with Reminders: complete in either app, both update • Repeating nags — daily, weekdays, weekly or monthly • Priority-aware: urgent and overdue items nag first • Choose which lists Nag watches — leave someday and shared lists alone NAGGING, CIVILIZED • Priority sets the pace — urgent items nag twice as often • Quiet hours — no 3 AM nagging • Snooze from the notification • Max-nag limits so it never becomes noise • Your choice of alert sound WHEN YOU GET THERE, NOT JUST WHEN IT'S DUE (iPhone) • Tie a nag to a place: it starts when you arrive — or leave — and keeps at you until it's done • Leave the shop without the milk and it stops; it's back next time you walk in • Already use location reminders in Apple Reminders? Nag honours them instead of nagging you at home FOR THE THINGS THAT AREN'T REALLY TASKS • Some things don't belong in your task list — checking the tyre pressure, taking the bins out, the stretch you keep skipping • Add them to Nag instead and leave your real lists clean • Works the same if you use Things, Todoist, TickTick or paper — or no task app at all PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE • No account. No server. No analytics. • Your reminders, your nags and your location never leave your device — place search goes to Apple Maps, and nothing ever comes to us • One-time purchase — no subscription macOS: lives in your menu bar with a badge count. iOS: background refresh keeps the nagging going. Buy it once. Get nagged forever. You're welcome.
What’s new
Version 1.1.3 · Updated September 22, 2026
Nag no longer needs Apple Reminders. Tap + to add a nag directly in Nag. It gets nagged exactly like a reminder does — priority, quiet hours, snooze, the lot — and it never touches your Reminders lists. Two reasons you might want this. You don't use Apple Reminders, so until now Nag wasn't for you. Or you do use it, but "check the tyre pressure" isn't a task you want sitting in your real list forever. Nags you add can repeat: daily, weekdays, weekly or monthly. Completing a repeating nag moves it to the next occurrence instead of clearing it. Both sources work together, so you can watch your Reminders lists and keep a few nags of your own alongside them. Declining Reminders access no longer stops the app — it now works fine on its own nags. Nag at a place. Choose "Place" when adding a nag and it starts nagging when you arrive — or when you leave — and stops if you go before doing it. Reminders with a location set in Apple Reminders now wait for that place too, instead of nagging you from home. Nag asks for location access only when you first add a place. Keep Nag separate. A new Use Apple Reminders switch in Settings lets Nag ignore Reminders completely, even if you allowed access earlier. Nags you create stay on this device and are never uploaded anywhere. They don't sync between devices yet, and you can export them at any time. More from Vibesoft: Settings now lists our other apps, in case one of them is useful to you. Fixed: lists you switched off could still be nagged about after a background refresh. A nag you create with a due time now alerts at that time, rather than one interval later.
