Epistula: Catholic Community

Epistula is an upper room for Catholics: a quiet place to pray, write and walk with others in the faith, across countries and languages. KEEP A JOURNAL THAT BECOMES A BOOK Five practices, one for every hour of the day: - Verse of the day: start the morning with Scripture. Free for everyone. - Lectio Divina: read a Gospel scene slowly, until one word stops you. - Visio Divina: pray with a great painting, one detail at a time. - Pray with a photo: hold up someone, or somewhere, you carry. Your photo is encrypted on your phone and only you can see it. - Examen: end your day with God. Write or dictate, and every entry becomes a page in your own book. WRITE LETTERS Slow conversations with people you walk with. Letters travel by dove, by boat or on foot, and arrive when they arrive. PEN PALS Send a bottle to the sea and let a Catholic somewhere in the world find it. SHARE THE BEAUTY OF THE ORDINARY A feed for the small, holy moments of daily life, with no noise and no ads. BRING THE QUESTIONS YOU CARRY A forum to ask, answer and think together about the faith. HOLD SOMEONE UP IN PRAYER Pray for others. EPISTULA PLUS Epistula is free to join. Epistula Plus unlocks the guided practices (Lectio Divina, Visio Divina, Pray with a photo and Examen) and an unlimited stable of messengers for your letters.
