About Fude: Hiragana & Katakana
Write Japanese kana with your finger. Fude checks every single stroke — how many, in what order, in which direction, the shape, proportion, and curve — and tells you exactly which one is wrong, and why. “Stroke 2 goes the wrong way.” “Stroke 3 should curve, not run straight.” That is the whole idea. You stop guessing what you did wrong, so you stop repeating it. SIX CHECKS, EVERY CHARACTER • Stroke count — an incomplete character is never accepted • Stroke order — the authentic Japanese order, enforced • Direction — so look-alike characters can’t be confused • Shape — measured against the real curve of each stroke • Proportion — the relative size of every stroke • Curvature — a straight line drawn where a curve belongs is caught WRITTEN FROM MEMORY, NOT TRACED The guide fades as you improve. First the full guide. Then the last stroke disappears. Then no guide at all — and you are writing from memory. Characters you have learned come back for review at the right moment, weighted toward the ones you keep getting wrong. 183 KANA 46 hiragana, 46 katakana, 25 voiced forms (dakuten and handakuten), and 66 yōon combinations — きゃ, しゅ, ちょ and the rest. Every one appears in its handwritten form rather than its printed form, with audio pronunciation. WRITE ALL 183 KANA Hiragana, katakana, dakuten, handakuten, and yōon — all 183 kana can be written with stroke-by-stroke recognition and audio pronunciation. All 46 hiragana also include the complete learning system: guided sessions, the fading stroke-order guide, spaced review, and saved progress. ONE PURCHASE One purchase extends the complete learning system to katakana, dakuten, handakuten, and yōon. Guided sessions, the fading stroke-order guide, spaced review, and saved progress are included. No subscription. No ads. No account. Nothing expires. BUILT FOR YOUR FINGER No stylus. No paper. Works offline. Your progress is saved locally on your device. — Made by one person.
