ROOMS WITH JOBS The colony builds rooms and uses them. Nurses carry eggs from the queen to the nursery, then carry the larvae up to the sun room for the day's warmth and back down at dusk. And in every colony, once it is big enough, broad-headed majors hatch and stand guard at the doors through the night.
