About Dhayam 1
Dhayam is the classic South Indian dice-and-token race game your family has played for generations — now on your phone, with none of the setup. Race your tokens from reserve, around the shared ring, and into your own home path. Roll a 1 (dhayam) to bring a token into play, land on an opponent to send them back to reserve, and rest on the motif-marked safe houses where nothing can touch you. PLAY YOUR WAY • Vs. Computer — practice or challenge a CPU opponent any time • Pass & Play — hand the phone around for local multiplayer on one device • Play Online — invite a friend with a simple room code, no sign-up or account required CUSTOMIZE THE RULES Tune entry rolls, extra-turn values, safe houses, banked rolls, and more to match how your family has always played. MADE TO FEEL RIGHT • Four hand-crafted board skins • Satisfying sound effects and haptic feedback • Track your wins, losses, and streaks across CPU and online play • Clean, focused, dark-themed interface No ads. No accounts. No tracking. Just the game.
What’s new
Version 1.1 · Updated August 12, 2026
New in this update: • Tamil (தமிழ்) language support — switch anytime in Settings • A smarter CPU opponent with sharper strategy and lookahead • A new "Default" board skin, plus a redesigned skin picker — five skins total now • Tap a highlighted destination tile to move a token, not just the token itself • A redesigned Pause Menu with Settings, Board Skins, and Game Rules built right in • New Classic vs. Custom rule-set presets, plus two new optional rules: Jump & Go and Release Two on One-Five • Report a Problem — send a game log straight from the Pause Menu if something looks wrong • An expanded How to Play, with a full Classic vs. Custom rule comparison and a settings glossary • Dice no longer go blank between turns • Board tokens and markers now line up precisely on every tile • Online games reconnect cleanly after your phone locks or the app is backgrounded • Various other bug fixes and polish, especially for Tamil text layout Thanks for playing Dhayam 1!
