About Amitabha Journal · Nianfo

Amitabha Journal is a quiet companion for daily nianfo — the Pure Land practice of reciting the name of Amitabha Buddha. Each "Namo Amitabha" becomes one count, so your practice stays clear and your mind stays with the recitation. Whether you recite a few rounds a day or keep a daily vow of ten thousand, Amitabha Journal aims to be the simple string of mala beads at your side. WAYS TO RECITE · Mala beads — tap to turn a bead; every tap is one recitation. · Chant along — recite with a Dharma Master's chanting, a lotus friend's voice, or your own recording. Each round counts once, at the speed you choose. · Manual entry — add recitations you made away from your phone, so nothing is missed. · Focus sessions — set a timer, recite undisturbed, and a bell marks the end. LISTEN Play a long recording of the Buddha's name and simply listen, letting body and mind settle. DEDICATION OF MERIT Dedicate the merit of your recitation to loved ones, to all beings, or to a wish close to your heart. Every dedication is kept, so you can look back on it anytime. STATS & REPORTS Today's count, lifetime total, streak, and a practice heatmap — plus weekly and monthly reports that show how your practice is growing. ACHIEVEMENTS · Merit Ranks rise with your lifetime recitations. · Perseverance Ranks rise with your daily streak. · Special badges such as Morning Bell, Evening Drum, and Thousand-Recitation Day. · Save and share your achievement cards. PRACTICE TOGETHER Create or join a squad of fellow practitioners, see one another's recitations for the day, and follow the squad leaderboards. Squads are optional — every personal feature works without signing in. THOUGHTFUL DETAILS · Home Screen widgets with a one-tap +1, plus Live Activities and the Dynamic Island while you recite. · Sign in to sync your records across devices. · Gentle daily reminders, plus weekly and monthly report notifications. · Wooden fish sound, vibration, paper or glass styles, light and dark themes, and alternate app icons. · Available in English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. May this merit extend equally to all beings, that all may awaken the Bodhi Mind and be born in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amitabha.
