About Postopia
Postopia is a social network built around communities. Every community is a real place — a forum with its own moderation, its own feed, its own character and its own discussions. Join the ones you care about, or start one. What you post there also reaches the people who follow you, so you are never choosing between a group and an audience. The home feed is reverse-chronological by default: posts from the people and communities you follow, in the order they were written. Where a surface does rank, it tells you why you are seeing something. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Post text, photos, video, polls and long-form Broadcasts - Spark, Echo and Quote the posts worth passing on - Share short vertical Vibes that expire, or pin one that does not - Send Notes: direct messages that are end-to-end encrypted - Chat one to one or in groups, and pass posts and Vibes into the conversation - Read the news from sources you choose, and favorite the ones you come back to - Listen to Postopia Music: tracks and videos from independent artists - Follow people, communities and the topics that interest you BUILT WITH LIMITS - No ads and no third-party trackers. What you do here is not sold or shared. - Verification is free. It describes who someone is and cannot be purchased. - Report, block and mute on every surface, with a 24-hour takedown commitment. - No infinite algorithmic scroll on the main feed. Postopia is for people 17 and over, and 18 where local rules require it.

This release is mostly fixes, plus a few new things. New: - Message yourself: start a chat with yourself from New chat to keep notes, links and photos in one place. - One emoji picker everywhere, with search. A message of one to three emoji shows large and plays a short animation the first time you see it, and a reaction animates when it is added. - Support chats: get help from an organization in a chat, from its profile. Fixes: - Chats and Notes open in one smooth motion, without the screen jumping or messages flickering in. - Your newest message and the message box no longer hide behind the keyboard, and the emoji search box stays above it. - Holding a message no longer picks a menu option by accident, and the menu no longer freezes half faded. - Jumping to a quoted message, and searching in Notes, lands on the right message. - Reply quotes no longer cut off their second line, and show names instead of handles. - Chat photos that would not load now load, including older PNG and JPEG photos. - Coming back to the app no longer opens an old link as "Page not found". - Answering a call before allowing the microphone no longer closes the app on Android, and Postopia now asks for the microphone before the call starts. - On iPhone, GIFs show again and Notes no longer close on launch. - Reply and repost counts stay correct after you scroll back. - Text and voice Vibes no longer show as black tiles on the Vibes page. - Contest entry covers keep faces in frame, and "In common" on profiles no longer stacks down the screen. Improvements: - Download photos, videos, voice notes and documents from any chat; on Android they go to your Gallery or Downloads. - Select part of a message with your phone's own text handles. - Translate messages on your phone when it supports it. Notes are only ever translated on your phone. - Notes are hidden from screenshots. - Postopia links inside the in-app reader open in the app. - Pull to refresh on community posts and organization pages, and Catch up counts posts you have seen in any tab. - Replies look the same everywhere.
