SICA: farm incident reports

Report how the weather has affected your farm. SICA is the information system for climate impacts on farming and livestock. From the field itself, in a few minutes, you record whether a weather event has caused damage to your plots or your animals — or whether it caused none at all. Together, those reports build a real picture of the territory, so that the response to each event can be decided with complete data. REPORT IN FOUR STEPS 1. Where did it happen? Locate your plots with GPS, by tapping them on the map or by drawing an area. SICA retrieves the SIGPAC reference — Spain's official land parcel registry — along with the area and land use of each plot. 2. What happened? Select up to three simultaneous events — hail, frost, drought, strong wind, flood, storm, heatwave, tornado, fire, torrential rain, overflow or other — and the date they occurred. 3. How were you affected? State whether there is damage, none, or it is still to be assessed, how severe it is, and what was damaged: crops, plants, soil, irrigation, infrastructure or access routes; for livestock, facilities, supplies, grazing areas, productive activity and animals. 4. Additional information. Add photos from the camera or your gallery, the affected area and any observations you find useful. Before sending, you review a full summary and can jump back to any step. WHAT YOU GET • Agricultural and livestock reports, each with its own damage catalogue. • Real SIGPAC plots: select them by GPS, by tapping the map or by drawing an area. • Photos with date and coordinates as evidence of the damage. • Affected area calculated automatically, and editable. • Drafts: leave a report half finished and pick it up when you can. • Your report history, filtered by date, type of holding, agricultural insurance and status. • Edit or delete your own reports. • No account needed: report anonymously and register later — the reports on your device are then saved to your account. • Sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft or email. • Available in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Arabic. WHO IT IS FOR Farmers, livestock keepers, cooperatives, associations and technical staff who need to put on record the state of their holdings after a weather event. Reporting that there was no damage is as useful as reporting that there was: both complete the map. WHAT IT IS NOT A report in SICA is for information and territorial analysis. It is not a formal complaint, it is not an insurance claim, it does not replace any procedure before public authorities, it does not by itself start an administrative procedure, and it is not an application for aid, subsidies or compensation. PRIVACY Location is used only to locate plots and attach coordinates to what you record: SICA does not continuously track your movements.
