About Sound Anomaly: Noise Monitor

Sound Anomaly listens to the space around you, learns what "normal" sounds like, and warns you the moment something breaks that pattern. Tap Calibrate and stay quiet for a few seconds while Sound Anomaly studies your surroundings. It builds a spectral signature of your normal background — the hum of a fridge, distant traffic, the quiet of an empty room. From then on, any sound that stands out from that signature — footsteps, a voice, a door, a sudden impact — triggers an alert. Sound Anomaly keeps listening even when your phone is locked and the screen is off, and sends a notification the instant it hears something out of place. HOW IT WORKS • Tap Calibrate and keep quiet for a few seconds while Sound Anomaly learns the room • It analyzes the sound's frequency spectrum in real time, not just how loud it is • When a sound deviates from your calibrated normal, Sound Anomaly alerts you • Sudden impacts trigger instantly; gradual sounds like speech are smoothed to avoid false alarms • Leave it running in the background — a lock-screen notification and a haptic tap let you know WHY SOUND ANOMALY • Learns your specific environment instead of relying on a fixed volume threshold • Spectral detection catches unusual sounds a simple loudness meter would miss • A live frequency spectrum shows exactly what the app is hearing • Background monitoring with lock-screen alerts and haptics • A clean, warm, focused design — one job, done well PERFECT FOR • Knowing if someone enters a room while you are away • Catching footsteps, voices, or knocks you would otherwise miss • Watching over a quiet space — a nursery, a study, a back room • Anyone who wants to be warned about out-of-place sounds PRIVACY FIRST Sound Anomaly never records, stores, or uploads audio. It only reads numbers from the live frequency analysis — how loud the sound is and the shape of its spectrum. Nothing leaves your device. ABOUT MEASUREMENT Sound Anomaly measures relative loudness, not calibrated sound pressure level. iOS does not provide true SPL, so the app makes no absolute-decibel or hearing-safety claims. The "dB" reading is a relative indicator only. Sound Anomaly Pro unlocks unlimited monitoring. Start with a free trial; it then continues as a monthly or yearly subscription. SUBSCRIPTION Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
