About Cairn: Notice Daily

Most of what we feel passes without a mark. Cairn supports a quiet practice of noticing. A small contentment. A flash of irritation. A heaviness you can't name. Mark it in a second, from your Apple Watch or your phone. Reflect on it when you're ready. Each stone is a moment you can return to. How it works Notice a feeling. Mark it. One tap on your watch or phone places a stone. No typing needed. Capture takes seconds, without breaking the moment. Return to it. Cairn invites you back to reflect, at your own pace. The six stones No moment is good or bad. It just is. Cairn uses six categories drawn from an old taxonomy, named in plain language. Contentment. A settled, easy presence. Desire. A pull toward something. Aversion. Resistance or irritation. Restlessness. Keyed up and scattered. Heaviness. Dull and weighed down. Doubt. Uncertain and wavering. Over time, patterns surface No scores. No streaks. Cairn does not want your attention. It simply lays out what you noticed. Where contentment gathers. Where friction repeats. Small signals that were always there, now visible. Made for the watch Cairn starts on the watch. A complication puts capture one tap from any watch face. Tap, pick a stone, done. Your phone is where you reflect. Private by design Cairn has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads, no third parties. Your moments live on your device and, if you use iCloud sync, in your own iCloud, never on ours. We cannot read them because we do not have them. Read our full privacy policy at noticedaily.com/privacy. Free. No account needed. Just start noticing.

What’s new

Version 1.1.1 · Updated August 9, 2026

Improvements - The reflection banner on Path now looks at the past week - older moments quietly age out of the count - and tapping it takes you straight to the first moment waiting. - Reflection reminders now arrive only when recent moments are waiting for you. - On Apple Watch, a small icon appears on the home screen when moments are being kept on-device without iCloud sync. Fixes - Today's stone count, the Today and Yesterday headings on Path, and the Patterns week all move forward correctly when a new day begins. - Reminders arrive at the right time on daylight-saving days, and keep arriving even if the app hasn't been opened in a while. - Moments captured on Apple Watch are saved right away, even if you lower your wrist just after. - The cairn complication stays visible when the watch display dims. - The sync indicator no longer gets stuck on "Syncing". - Turning on reminders during onboarding now points you to Settings if notifications were declined earlier. - Deleting a moment from the reflection sheet closes cleanly.
