UV Index: Forecast & Shade Map

Check the UV index, find lower-UV hours, and plan your time outside. Explore an interactive shade map, set sunscreen reminders, and keep UV and sunscreen status close with widgets. PLAN AROUND THE UV FORECAST See today's UV index, follow the hourly forecast, and check when UV is expected to peak. Find daylight windows below UV 3 for a walk, park visit, or afternoon outside. Explore up to 10 days of hourly forecasts where data is available, and search another location to plan ahead. EXPLORE SHADE BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT Pick a spot on the shade map and change the time to explore estimated UV at that point. Use the map alongside the hourly forecast to plan where and when to go. Estimates depend on available weather and map data; shade does not eliminate UV exposure. KEEP SUNSCREEN REMINDERS HANDY Log an application in one tap, review your history, and save your sunscreen product details. Set first-application and reapplication reminders separately. Follow an active reapplication countdown with a Live Activity, including Dynamic Island on supported iPhones. GET A HEADS-UP WHEN UV DROPS Choose a UV level and get an alert when the forecast predicts it will fall below that threshold. Add advance notice, repeat on selected days, or customize an alert for a particular date. Open the app regularly to refresh forecasts and keep scheduled alerts up to date. CHECK UV WITH WIDGETS See UV and sunscreen status on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Choose a pixel Buddy for your daily routine, and unlock more companions as you record sunscreen days. Buddy progress builds at your own pace. LOOK OUT FOR YOUR FRIENDS Connect privately and send a friendly Nudge when UV is high. Friend connections and three shared Nudges each week are free. Friends see no precise location, and there are no public profiles or open messages.
