Scrub — Clean photo metadata

Every photo you take quietly records where you were, when you were there, and what device you own — sometimes even your name. Share the file, and all of it goes along for the ride. Scrub shows you exactly what's hiding in your photos — free — and removes it in one tap, entirely on your device, with verified proof. When you want to keep the cleaned copy, one small one-time purchase unlocks saving and sharing forever. No subscription, no account, no ads. WHAT'S HIDING IN YOUR PHOTOS A typical smartphone photo carries GPS coordinates accurate to the meter, capture time down to the second, camera make, model and serial numbers, lens details, editing history, author names — plus an embedded thumbnail that is a second tiny copy of the image. None of it is visible. All of it travels with the file — to social media DMs, marketplace listings, forums, and anyone who taps "Save image". WHY SCRUB • Free to see it work — inspect every hidden field and run the full clean, with verified results, before paying anything • Unlock once, own everything — a single one-time purchase to save and share your cleaned photos. No subscriptions, no "premium" upsells, no ads. Ever. • 100% on-device — no upload, no account. Inspecting and cleaning work in airplane mode, and your photos never leave your phone. (Scrub sends anonymous crash reports so we can fix bugs — never your photos or personal data.) • Lossless — metadata is removed at the file level, without re-encoding. Every pixel stays exactly as it was. • Verified — after every clean, Scrub re-reads the output file and shows you the proof: 0 fields remain. EVERYTHING YOU NEED • Inspect — every EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC and PNG text field, translated into plain language and grouped by what it exposes: Location, Date & Time, Device, Author & Notes, Capture Settings • See it on a map — drop the photo's GPS pin on a map and see exactly what the file gives away • Strip — remove everything in one tap, or clear just the categories you choose • Edit — rewrite any EXIF field: fix a wrong date, change an author credit, or move a photo's GPS pin to Paris • Redact — blur, pixelate, or black out faces, screens and street signs, at full resolution and three intensities • Bulk Strip — select a batch and wipe every photo in one pass; per-photo badges show which ones are geotagged • Originals untouched — cleaned copies are saved next to your originals, never over them • Lossless for JPEG, PNG and WebP; HEIC is cleaned via a high-quality conversion • Even removes the hidden EXIF thumbnail and trailing motion-video data most tools miss • Dark mode — automatic and easy on the eyes WHO IT'S FOR Anyone selling on marketplaces, posting to forums, sharing on social media, or sending photos to people they don't know. Parents, travelers, journalists, online sellers — anyone who'd rather not broadcast their home address in a photo of a coffee table. Share the photo. Keep the rest.
