PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your notes live on your iPhone — not on our servers. When you use Ask, or turn on cloud transcription, the text or audio for that request goes to one of our AI providers (currently Google Cloud, Groq, Together AI, DeepInfra, or Anthropic; a retry may go to another of them) to produce the result — through OpenRouter, Groq, and Anthropic. We only use providers that run under zero-data-retention terms or in safety retention mode: we tell you when, we don't store it, and they don't either — at most a copy kept only to fix errors, stop abuse, or review safety, and never to train AI.
