About Merit Match Scholarship Finder
Merit Match helps students find scholarships they actually qualify for. We verify every listing for a real award, a real description, and a current deadline. And we surface scholarships most students never see. YOU ARE THE CONSUMER, NOT THE PRODUCT We never sell your data. No ads, no lead generation, no reselling your profile to lenders. Free to start. WHAT YOU GET FREE - Browse thousands of verified scholarships - Powerful matching: GPA, test scores, major, state, city, background, and more than 20 other profile fields - Deadline tracking and email reminders - Compare colleges by real cost (federal Scorecard and IPEDS data) - FAFSA guidance written in plain English - Tools for parents and school counselors, including consent-based sharing WHAT PAID ADDS Navigator members unlock hidden gems: verified low-competition scholarships our pipeline digs up, plus medal ratings that flag the strongest opportunities. BUILT FOR FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS Students control their data. Parents can follow along with permission. Counselors get a read-only dashboard their students explicitly consent to. What’s new
Version 1.0.20 · Updated October 15, 2026
New • Bug Zapper free months: Report five real problems and earn a free month, bank up to three months, and your page shows when your free time ends. Thanks for helping us fix things. Improved • Faster first results: Your scholarship list now loads in one pass for signed-in students, and cards no longer jump around while it fills. You get to your matches sooner. • Opens on Best match: The list now opens on Best match once your profile has a state and a major. Your strongest scholarships come first. • Profile saved from Get Started: Your major and graduation year are now saved with your state when you sign up from Get Started, and My Account has a State field. Your profile starts out more complete. • One setup number: My Account, the setup ribbon, the dashboard card and the checklist now show the same profile percentage. No more conflicting numbers. • One place per filter: Grade and Major now live only in the Filters panel, not also as chips at the top. Filtering is easier to follow. Fixed • Full results lists: Every scholarship in your ranked list now shows up, including ones that used to be skipped between pages. You see all of your best matches. • Saved comparisons stay put: A slow connection can no longer erase your saved college comparison. Your comparison is there when you come back. • Dark mode results: The search box and Your plan lines on the results page are now readable in dark mode. Easier on your eyes at night. • Your scholarships: The money card now reads Your scholarships when we do not have your first name, with correct sentences. It reads naturally for everyone. • Welcome offers: Every new member now sees our current welcome offer, even if someone else already signed up on the same device. • Signed-in state and counselor note: Reopening the app keeps you signed in on the tracker, and counselors with no connected students see a plain note. What you see matches your account.
