About Nuance Translator
Nuance — translation that says it the right way Every other translation app moves words. Nuance moves meaning. In Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai, the "right" words change with who you are, who you're speaking to, and the moment you're in. The same sentence can sound warm or cold, respectful or rude, natural or robotic. Nuance is the only translation app built to carry your feelings across — and the only one that judges the TPO (Time, Place and Occasion) of your message before you send it. This is the difference between "Is it time to go home now?" and "Hey, dude, get outta my face!" WHY NUANCE IS DIFFERENT • It translates your feeling. Pick a mood on the Emotion Dial — friendly, respectful, apologetic, thankful, excited — and Nuance rewrites the translation so the emotion actually lands in the target language. • It reads the room (TPO). Set who's speaking and who's listening — gender, age, your relationship — plus the situation (business, social, medical, romantic…) and delivery (speech, chat, email, a formal letter). Nuance weighs all of it to choose the register and honorifics a native speaker would. • It checks your draft before you send. Insight mode reads your text, tells you how it comes across, fixes the grammar, and lets you dial the tone up or down — so you never send something that reads colder or more casual than you meant. FEATURES — Register Dial: slide from casual to honorific and see the exact same message at every politeness level. — People settings: gender and age drive gendered speech and age-hierarchy respect — the things generic translators miss. — Conversation mode: face-to-face, two-way talking with the tone controls built in. — Insight: Can give you a breakdown of a long piece of text • give a summary of a conversation and how it went • check the tone of a message before you send it • give you the full meaning of a word -beyond anything a dictionary can tell you. — Vision: point your camera at a sign, menu or document and translate it — plus tap a single kanji to identify it. — Tap any word — in your text or the translation — for an instant dictionary definition, with offline dictionary and kanji packs. — Choose your engine: Enfour Cloud, Apple's on-device model, your own API key, or a custom server. Nuance is for anyone who cares how they come across — travelers, students, professionals, couples, and anyone learning to speak an East Asian language the way it's really spoken. Say what you mean. Feel understood.
