SOMMAR: SPF Reminder & Tanner

Build a smarter sunscreen habit with Sommar — your daily SPF companion for UV awareness, application timing, and reapplication reminders. Sommar helps you understand when sun protection matters, remember when you applied sunscreen, and estimate when it may be time to reapply. Instead of relying on a generic timer, Sommar combines current UV conditions, your selected activity, and your application time to create a more useful protection timeline throughout the day. SMART SPF TIMING Start a protection session when you apply sunscreen, or record that you applied it earlier. Sommar tracks the application process through clear stages and shows an Estimated Protection Time (EPT), helping you understand how much time may remain before reapplication should be considered. CONTEXT-AWARE GUIDANCE Choose the situation that best matches your day: • Outdoor • Beach • Work • Home Sommar adjusts its guidance based on your selected context and current UV conditions. A beach day may require more frequent attention, while lower-UV or mostly indoor routines may result in a different estimate. LIVE UV AWARENESS See the current UV index at a glance and follow how conditions affect your protection timeline. Sommar is designed to make UV information easier to understand and more actionable, without turning your day into a complicated weather report. TIMELY REMINDERS Receive useful notifications during your protection journey, including: • A reminder when your sunscreen has had time to settle • A warning before your estimated protection window ends • A reapplication reminder when it may be time to apply again LIVE ACTIVITY & DYNAMIC ISLAND Keep your current protection status visible without repeatedly opening the app. Supported iPhones can display your active session, timing, and progress through Live Activities and Dynamic Island. HOME & LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS Check UV information and protection status directly from your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Sommar widgets are designed for quick, glanceable updates throughout the day. APPLICATION HISTORY & PROGRESS Review your sunscreen activity, see how often you applied, and build a more consistent daily routine over time. Sommar turns sunscreen from something easy to forget into a visible, trackable habit.
