About Reel Cozy: Idle Fishing Game
Your little fisher casts all by himself — while you watch, while you're away, even while you sleep. Come back to a full net and whatever surfaced without you. Reel Cozy is a warm little idle fishing game about patience, weather, and the slow pleasure of filling a book of fish. THE WATER KEEPS ITS OWN TIME The moon above your pond is the real one, tonight, wherever you are. Weather turns every two hours on its own — clear, rain, and the rare fog that brings up fish you will not see otherwise. Dawn, day, dusk and night follow your clock, not ours. Nothing here waits for you to show up. It simply carries on. NINE WATERS, 97 FISH Begin at Willow Pond. Follow the river down to a misty lake, out to the Sundown Ocean, then further down into the Midnight Abyss. When you are ready, chart a crossing to the Far Isles — a lagoon like glass, a reef in permanent storm, a drowned market that trades in bait, and a cove where the moon decides what bites. One fish in a hundred surfaces shiny, worth ten times the rest. A CREW WORTH KEEPING Granny Marlin knits between bites and never misses. Captain Whiskers is a cat with a fishing rod (don't ask). Eight in all, each waiting a little further out — an otter, an owl, and a few you will have to sail for. FOR THE PATIENT Nine named fish carry a grudge. They escape on purpose, sizing you up across several encounters, and the feud survives every voyage you take. Forty-four pieces of gear. A lighthouse to rebuild one floor at a time. Golden trophies for the fish you have truly mastered, and a last journal page — The Quiet Horizon — for whoever finishes everything. NO PRESSURE, EVER No timers. No streaks. Nothing punishes you for putting it down. A message in a bottle drifts in once a day asking a small favour and paying in pearls. Miss it and nothing happens at all. No ads. No account. No internet needed.

THE HOLLOW TIDE For the whole of October, every water dresses for the season. Lanterns drift on Willow Pond and the willow turns rust. Leaves come down at the river. A harvest moon sits low over Sundown Ocean with lights set adrift beneath it. The Drowned Market puts a carved gourd on every stall roof, Mooncradle Cove trades silver for amber, and even the Midnight Abyss swaps its cold glow for something closer to candlelight. A gourd and a few candles burn on every pier you fish from, and the crew have opinions about all of it. Three visitors come in with the tide: a Lantern Koi at Willow Pond, a Hollow Trout in the river, and a Marsh Wisp out on Misty Lake. They are guests, not residents — they keep their own page in the fishpedia and they never count against your collection. Spend October ashore and your book still closes exactly as it did. Meet any one of them and the carved gourd bobber is yours for good, long after the lanterns come down. Wear it or put it away; it stays on your shelf either way. The Hollow Tide packs up by itself on the 1st of November, by your own clock. Nothing to download, and it comes back next October. THE RIVAL CARD STOPS HIDING THE ROLL A fisher wrote in: thirty-two hooks into the Pawnbroker, against a card that said fourteen, and no idea what was broken. Nothing was — but the card was telling half the story. Those hooks are a threshold, not a countdown. Once a rival finally tires, every encounter after that is a roll of the dice, and the card never once mentioned the dice. Worse, the little bar filled up at fourteen and then sat there looking finished for as long as your luck held out. Now the card says the odds plainly, and the bar stops pretending you are nearly there when the honest answer is that it is down to chance. With thanks to the fisher who counted all thirty-two. You were right that something was wrong; it just wasn't the part you thought. SMALLER THINGS Storm Reef's rain and fog paintings now change when the sky does. They had only ever been hung as you arrived, so a sky that turned while you sat there left the backdrop a few hours behind. The reef's fog itself is softer, and no longer shows its edges.
